We founded Seigur in 2016 when it became clear that we needed to find a way for us both to enjoy our hard-earned careers AND support our family’s needs. With very few opportunities in our industry for part-time work and an absolute refusal for either one of us to feel forced to give up work entirely, we created a way for us to take it in turns to fulfil project contracts while the other one of us carried out the harder work at home.
Seigur was originally named after the technical term describing system availability in an N+1 model and our love of exploring Iceland (ask us someday about the view of a volcanic eruption from the top a glacier on our honeymoon and how we got home in the wake of the ash cloud…!). However, bouncing back from personal adversity helped us realise our own resilience as well as how our services help our clients with their resourcing resilience; we flex in and out of projects as required and supplement existing teams so they can focus on their core decision-making.
More recently, we’ve become able to support our clients in a blended manner – to provide you with the information and guidance you need to fulfil your project goals in the niche area of keeping and using data safely and in compliance with local laws and regulations.
With the confidence that your burning questions are answered, you’re improving your compliance, and/or you’re setting up your projects in a secure manner, you can focus on supporting your staff and growing your business.
Please drop us a line via the contact us page to discuss a specific piece of work (big or small), or a regular or ad hoc specific number of hours of work towards a particular goal.
